In April 2009, I made the decision to get rid of all the ads on Zen Habits except one. I dropped Google Adsense and several other ad networks, dropping my income by a substantial amount.

It meant less income, but also less clutter. And that's a better reader experience, in my opinion.

I plan to have the schedule of upcoming advertisers on this page, as well as a way for potential advertisers to submit their requests, questions, etc.

I need to check with each advertiser and get their OK before I can finish this page. But here's what I have so far:

Cost of an ad: $6,000 as of April 2010.

Next available slot: May 2010.

Ad format: 150x150 pixels, in common image formats - jpg, gif, png. Will accept flash if you host it on your server.

Stats: More than 2 million pageviews a month, 170,000+ subscribers, in the Technorati Top 100.

Note: Actually, I still have a Google ad in my RSS feed. I'm considering dropping that. It doesn't make a ton of money. I'd like to sell my own ad for the feed but right now can't see how to do that with Google Feedburner. Hospedagem Would love to hear your thoughts on this!
